Terms of service

Effective 22 October 2026. Applies to the game at playqiyu.com, the public data page at playqiyu.com/data/ and this site, web.playqiyu.com. The Traditional Chinese version is the authoritative text; this translation is provided for convenience.

Welcome to Wonder Quest Online (Chinese name 奇遇 Online, "the game"), provided by the Wonder Quest Online team ("we"). By registering an account or playing you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

1. The service

• The game is a free 2D side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game that runs in a web browser. There is nothing to download or install.
• The game is under active development. Content, numbers, drop rates, events and the interface may change. We do our best to announce major changes in game or on this site.
• Server updates and maintenance cause short disconnections; the client reconnects automatically.

2. Accounts

• Playing requires an account (username, password and email) or signing in with Google or Discord. Guest play is not available on the production server.
• Usernames are 3 to 16 letters, digits or underscores; passwords are 8 to 64 characters.
• Each account may have up to three characters. Only one connection per account is allowed at a time; signing in elsewhere disconnects the earlier session.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Everything done with your account is treated as done by you. If you think your account was compromised, change your password at once and tell us.
• Accounts may not be sold, rented, transferred or shared.
• Keep your email reachable; it is the only way to recover your account or reset your password.
• You can delete your account in game at any time. Deletion takes effect after 30 days and signing in before then cancels it. See the support page.

3. Rules of conduct

So that everyone can play fairly, the following is prohibited:

• Using cheats, macros, auto-farming programs, emulator scripts or any program we have not authorised that plays on your behalf.
• Tampering with or forging data between the client and the server, attempting to bypass rate limits or validation, load-testing or attacking the server.
• Exploiting bugs for gain or to spoil other players' experience, including duplicating items or gaining experience or gold abnormally. Report bugs to us instead of using or spreading them.
• Buying or selling accounts, characters, items or in-game currency for real money or any consideration outside the game (real-money trading).
• Harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech, sexual content, spam, impersonating staff or other players, flooding, scams.
• Character names, guild names or notices that contain profanity or insults, impersonate officials or infringe others' rights.
• Extracting, reproducing or distributing the game's art, audio or other assets.
• Anything that breaks the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

4. Enforcement

• The server automatically drops invalid or excessive packets and disconnects connections that keep violating limits. Characters whose experience or gold grows abnormally fast are logged and reviewed by a person.
• Depending on severity we may, without prior notice: warn, mute, disconnect, remove items or gold, roll back progress, suspend temporarily or permanently, or delete the account.
• Players can report others in game with /report name reason. Abusing reports is itself a violation.
• To appeal a decision, email qiyu@endlesstech.tw; we review the relevant records and reply.

5. Virtual items and points

• Characters, items, in-game currency, cosmetic points, titles and the like are licences to use features of the game. They are not your property, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money.
• We adjust item stats, drop rates, prices and acquisition methods for balance, and may correct items that were granted in error.
• The shop offers only cosmetics and convenience items, never anything that affects combat power.
• Exchange orders are matched automatically by the server and charged a fee; completed trades cannot be reversed.

6. Payments

• The game currently has nothing for sale. Cosmetic points can only be earned through in-game activities.
• If purchases open later we will announce it in game and on this site. Payment will go through a third-party payment provider and we will never receive your card number. Separate payment and refund rules will apply at that time, in line with Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act and related law.

7. Content you provide

• You are responsible for the text you enter in game (chat, character names, guild names and notices, pet names and so on). You grant us permission to display it in the game and on the public data page in order to provide the service.
• Chat passes through an automatic profanity filter. We do not keep a full chat log, but the last few chat lines of a reported player are stored with the report for moderators.
• We may remove or change names and content that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

• The game's code, art, sound, music, text, names and logos belong to us or to third parties who license them to us. These terms transfer no rights to you beyond permission to play.
• You may record and screenshot the game to share, stream or make guides, including with monetisation such as video-platform advertising revenue, but you may not extract or distribute the game's assets on their own.
• The public data (drop tables, prices, leaderboards, server status) may be read freely and used in third-party tools.

9. Changes, outages and rollbacks

• We may add, change or remove features at any time, and may suspend or end all or part of the service when necessary.
• After data corruption, a serious bug or an attack we may restore the server from an earlier backup; progress made after the restore point is lost. We announce this before or after the fact and may compensate as appropriate.
• We work to keep the service stable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or that data will never be lost.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

• The game is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for losses arising from using or being unable to use the game, including lost progress, lost virtual items, disconnections or the conduct of other players.
• Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or the rights consumers have under the Consumer Protection Act.

11. Termination

• You may stop playing at any time or delete your account in game.
• We may terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly violate these terms.
• If we shut the service down entirely we will announce it in advance in game and on this site.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Disputes arising from these terms or the game are subject to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, except where a consumer is entitled by law to sue in another competent court.
